Cecelia Halle

is a preservationist, designer, and historian based in Cambridge, MA. She currently works as an associate architectural historian at the Public Archaeology Lab.

Cecelia holds a M.S. in Historic Preservation from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and a B.A. in Art History from the George Washington University. She has previously worked as an Earth Network Fellow for the Columbia Climate School, as a preservation consultant for the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project, and as a communication designer for the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage's Cultural Vitality Program. 

Experienced in qualitative research methods, Cecelia is dedicated to historic preservation centered on cultural stability and community resilience. Her research interests include cultural displacement, gentrification, revanchism, LGBTQ history, and social housing.

In her spare time, Cecelia plays music with her friends in Firewalker and Bygone and collects books about the architecture of her hometown, Cambridge, MA.
